The 2024 Oguaa Fetu Afahye @ 60 Planning Committee has supported the Cape Coast Youth Development Association with 20,000 Ghana Cedis to organize a series of youth events.
THEME: Celebrating the City of the Firsts: Our People, Our Future
1. Inter-Community Football Gala Competition
Venue: Zion Park
Description: A football tournament featuring teams from different communities competing for the championship.
Objectives: Foster unity, teamwork, and physical fitness among the youth.
Dates: Saturday, 31st August to Sunday, 8th September 2024.
2. Inter-Community Quiz Competition (Season Six)
Description: A competitive quiz event involving various communities aimed at promoting Cultural Values, Current Affairs and General Knowledge among the youth.
Objectives: Enhance intellectual engagement and foster community spirit.
Dates: Monday, 19th August to Wednesday, 4th September 2024.
3. Youth Colloquium
Description: A forum for the youth to discuss pressing issues, share ideas, and propose solutions for community development.
Date: Wednesday, 4th September 2024
4. Boxing at London Bridge
Description: A boxing event to showcase local talent and promote physical fitness and sportsmanship.
Objectives: Encourage participation in sports and provide a platform for young boxers.
Date: Friday, 6th September 2024 (Evening at London Bridge)
